Notice for Visiting Disciples
A notice for visiting brothers and sisters looking for housing with disciples:
Thank you for your desire to visit Japan. However, due to the many requests we receive for a place to stay, the Board of Directors of the Tokyo Church of Christ would like to respectfully ask that you please make your own housing arrangements for your visit to Japan rather than ask the church to find housing for you.
There are several reasons for this stance:
- We have a limited number of families and households with enough space to properly accommodate guests.
- We have a limited number of disciples who are able to speak English.
Our manpower and resources are stretched thin, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation during this time of great need.
Your brothers in Christ,
The Board of Directors

Greetings from our Senior Minister
Welcome to Tokyo Church of Christ
Thank you for visiting our homepage. We hope that it will be of service to you.
We are a church that is striving to obey God and to make the Bible our standard. Our prayer is that we can please Him in all that we do.
God has blessed us with tremendous diversity in our churches. We have services in Japanese and English with ministries serving English, Korean, and Chinese speakers.
God has also blessed us with an exciting youth ministry as well as a vibrant children’s ministry.God has brought together people of many different ages, backgrounds and races to worship Him and to love one another. The church members are also active in many charity activities trying to meet the needs of the poor and needy not only in Japan but in Southeast Asia as well.
The last few years have been a time of humbling and learning. With repentance comes pain, but we are thankful that God has called us to imitate the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 15:2)Our prayer is that we will continue to grow and change and move forward and become a church that pleases God even more.
In our world today, we see many tragic things happening in our families, our schools and everywhere around us. Sometimes our hearts can become hardened to such things, but we are striving to keep our hearts soft as we continually read our Bibles. Our prayer is that God can take the little strength that we have and multiply it so that we can become lights to this dark world. (Matthew 5:16)
In our church you will find hundreds of people whose lives have been dramatically changed as a result of understanding the message of the cross. Please come and visit our Sunday worship services as everyone is always welcome. Our prayer is that many will have an opportunity to read the Bible and know the message of God’s love.
